This project involved a major luxury home renovation and addition, plus a pool to a home in Dover Heights, Sydney. The existing property comprised an old and small single level two bed cottage over an existing garage on 450m2 of sloping land with westerly harbour views

Julian, an entrepreneur and Judy, a futures trader, had a young growing family comprising two young boys. They wanted a new triple storey home with main bed, en suite and study on the top floor, two beds, bathroom, open plan living, dining, kitchen and large entry hall on the mid level and rumpus, bathroom, laundry, double garage with internal access plus pool at ground level. Living areas were to be seamless with large external terrace areas using bifolding aluminium doors, maximising privacy with aluminium bifold louvres and maximising views with glass balustrades.

Finishes were to be upmarket being stone and large ceramic tiles to wet areas, timber floors to formal living areas and stone to the rumpus and staircase, carpet to the bedrooms, reverse cycle airconditioning, granite benchtops, polyurethane built ins throughout and views to be maximised.

Domus Homes designed a modern 300m2 net internal executive residence with 120m2 of external undercover terrace areas.

The house was built in full cavity brickwork and concrete. Development Approval took twelve months and construction took 14 months.
